What causes movement?

I have gone on to ask myself what makes things move? and in particular how nature and weather affects things. Firstly I investigated the shapes that hair make when exposed to:
Water and freezing temperatures

Wind

3rd Year self directed project

I started off this project with the idea of giving the illusion of movement in a static object, looking into the works of various designers.

I liked the idea of giving the chair some life, as if you could picture them running through a field.

This table by Chul An Kwak I also found very interesting it is based on a group of galloping horses.

First shot of the "my first rotomolder" so i decided to go for something a bit more different to plain net; a bottle of irn bru.



First attempt


All was going well until about 2 minutes of turning when the Jcast seemed to just slip off the middle section of the bottle and clump together. Perhaps not enough to grip onto on the smoother sections of plastic?



Second Attempt

Decided to first manipulate the bottle with a heat gun to hopefully allow more grip in the smoother sections and also decided to add some red food colouring

However the same problem as the first occured and the Jcast fell together. Also the food colouring caused a bubbled effect on the hardened plastic
